The Event
The two-hour session was held over Google Meet and streamed live on YouTube, bringing together undergraduate BSCS students, junior developers, and tech enthusiasts from across the program. The goal was simple: show how AI-powered automation can streamline development workflows, integrate APIs, and enhance productivity in real-world software projects.
The Team Behind the Webinar
The entire webinar — from content scripting to live demonstrations — was formulated and delivered by the Presentation Group.
Lead Speaker: Namias, Jhon Keneth Ryan B. — Led the session, delivered the three-phase demonstrations, and guided attendees through each workflow from simple automation to AI-powered integration.
Technical Speaker: Failana, Jin Harold A. — Handled the technical deep-dives, live API integrations, webhook configurations, and troubleshooting during the demo.
Together, they structured every segment of the webinar to ensure a progressive learning experience that catered to both beginners and those with prior automation experience.
Three-Phase Demo Breakdown
Phase 1: Simple Automation (Beginner)
A webhook trigger connected to a Discord notification — 5 nodes total. This phase demonstrated how a single incoming event can automatically notify a team channel, eliminating the need for manual monitoring.
Phase 2: Data Processing with APIs (Intermediate)
A scheduled API call that transforms data and sends it via email — 8 nodes total. Attendees saw how to bridge different APIs without heavy boilerplate code, using n8n's built-in transformation nodes to reshape data on the fly.
Phase 3: AI-Powered Automation (Advanced)
A Google Form submission that triggers Gemini AI to generate a response, then distributes it across multiple channels — 12 nodes total. This was the highlight of the session, showing how AI can be embedded directly into automation workflows to create intelligent, context-aware systems.
